Joseph

Joseph was one of twelve brothers, and his father Jacob loved him very much. Jacob gave Joseph a beautiful coat of many colors! But Joseph's brothers were jealous. They sold Joseph to traders who took him far away to Egypt.

In Egypt, Joseph had a very hard time. He was put in prison even though he did nothing wrong! But God was with Joseph. God gave Joseph the ability to understand dreams. When the king of Egypt had a confusing dream, Joseph explained it and saved the whole country from a terrible famine!

Joseph became a powerful leader in Egypt. When his brothers came looking for food, Joseph forgave them! He said, "You meant to hurt me, but God used it for good." Joseph teaches us that God can turn bad situations into something wonderful, and that we should forgive others.
